Hello, my name is Emma Nicholson. I am a senior at Franklin High School and a journalist for my high school newspaper, "Pantherbook," aptly titled after the school mascot, the Panther. I became interested in journalism years ago when I was on staff of my middle school paper, "The Flash." I like to think I have made improvements since my days of covering sixth grade fashion and movie reviews, but I still hold these experiences dear as they truly sparked my interest in writing. Though I am a writer, I consider myself to be more accurately fit under the title of "storyteller." Outside of my academic life I attend a performing arts school where I take daily classes in dance, voice, and acting, and I perform throughout the year. Beyond the arts I am passionate about the French language, as I  have studied it for twelve years. I am also extremely interested in politics and the political press. In college I plan to study journalism/communications, ideally in the Washington DC or New York City areas.
